All items listed in the Vacant Museum Store are sold directly by the artists who make them! The Vacant Museum curates this selection of available works carefully. After artists are accepted into our online exhibitions or spotlight series, they an receive an invitation to list their selected works for sale in our Store. This means that artists have full control over pricing, shipping, and marketing of their works. Artists receive full commission of the price of the work sold, something not seen at most online art retailers. When you purchase from the Vacant Museum you can ensure that your money goes directly towards supporting emerging contemporary artists.
Instead of receiving a portion of our artist’s earnings, The Vacant Museum charges a small Finder’s Fee dependent on the cost of the item sold, which compensates our curators for the work they do to craft meaningful and innovative exhibits and bring emerging artists you won’t find anywhere else to the forefront. This Finder’s Fee allows The Vacant Museum to continue the work we do to uplift artists, and create new opportunities for more voices to be heard. By buying originals and prints through The Vacant Museum, you support not only individual artists, but plenty more around the world waiting to be discovered.
