Whatever otherworldly forms comingle in the work of Ekundayo Adeyemo, they are guaranteed to emerge from mysterious origins. Lagos, Nigeria-based Adeyemo paints figures, creatures, and manifestations of elusive ideas and experiences. Often contemplating religion, self-confidence, and mystical elements of the world, Adeyemo brings together personal and cosmic symbolism to create new beings which represent ideas entirely their own. Glimpses into Adeyemo’s pigmented and graphic world always lead viewers to ambiguous spaces where equally cryptic and emblematic beings collide and conquer.

Who Am I ? I’m still yet to discover myself. Anyways I’m the boring type of person who those not know how to articulate his words.

I’m an abstract artist who paints what people know but try to hide or suppress them.

Life , Religion, politics, myself and nothingness

How would you describe your work and practice?
I have a problem of describing my creations. My works are born out of self doubt, religion and the cosmic universe. Most importantly my works are produce at strategic times and as a matter of urgency.
